This light green homogeneous powder is made from green-lipped mussels. It has a characteristic odor and is, at the same time, a balanced source of nutrients important to fish.

Green-lipped mussels (Perna canalicula) are most widely farmed in New Zealand, with primary use in the food and pharmaceutical industries. The latter is based on the fact that green-lipped mussels contain natural anti-inflammatory substances. However, it has become one of the favorites of anglers because, in addition to its protein content, it offers a balanced combination of vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, and betaine necessary for fish. All this is, moreover, paired with a characteristic, slightly smell reminiscent of squid meal. The product is produced by freeze-drying and grinding with carbon dioxide, and it comes to us in a 20 kg aroma-sealing plastic package. As powder exposed to the open air absorbs atmospheric moisture, storing the unused contents in a properly resealed package is advisable. In terms of dosage, some sources suggest mixing up to 10% in the dry matter. We have found values not exceeding 5% in English sources, so we recommend this as a direction to follow.
